This notice references the three goals of the National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy (“Cohesive Strategy”), released in 2010:
• Restore and maintain resilient landscapes
• Create fire-adapted communities
• Safe and effective wildfire response

The Cohesive Strategy includes regional assessments to address needs and challenges at regional and local levels. Alaska is included in the Western Regional Action Plan, released in April 2013.
